This weeks marketing class is for all you twitter users.   Seeing the recent spark of accounts created, due to Opera and Ashton Kutcher's competion with Larry King, I decided to write an article to help you with your twitter account.  If you are new to twitter, there are many applications you can use for free that make tweeting more fun.

This is a top five list based on the most unique visits per month found on Compete.  There are tons more, but this should be enough to wet your whistle for the time being.

  1. Twitpic This is the most used app for twitter. This application lets you share pics on your twitter account by using their website or posting through your phone.
  2. Tweetdeck is an application still in beta.  This is a user interface that makes tweeting a little more user friendly and fun compared to twitter.
  3. Digsby this is a cool app that combines all your favorite social media sites.  It allows you to chat with friends from  AIM, Yahoo, MSN, etc all on the same interface.  It can also give you a newsfeed of all your social networks.
  4. Twittercounter is an app that gives daily stats and facts on all twitter accounts.  It includes who is the most followed
  5. Twitterfeed This is an application that allows you to feed your blog to twitter and other popular blog postings.

Any questions, comments, or criticisms, I would love to hear from you.
