Make money while in your pajamas sitting at home.

This week's tip isn't really social media involved.  However, it will allow you to find students and potentially increase your income all from the comfort of your bedroom.

You might already be using Skype to stay in contact with friends and family.  Neal and I use Skype on a weekly basis.  It's an excellent communication tool and it's free. It can connect you with anyone in the world who has it.  It's a small world after all.

Now is a time to start using it to make money.  You can use Skype to teach English online.  Taking the simple step of creating an account on Skype, exponentially increases your market of students. Imagine the number of students you can now reach.

If you don't have the program, it's a simple, free download.  After you install it, create a user name.  I would recommend one with the word English in it.  If you already have an account, create another to use strictly for your students.  I would also recommend having a web cam.  You can get a decent one for around $40. You can teach with only a mic, but when a student can see you, it relaxes them and builds trust.

Make sure you have access to teaching materials and lessons online or on your computer that you can share with your student.

This is where YouTube is your best friend.  YouTube and Skype should be married.  YouTube will get you students if you use it correctly.  Read last weeks article for some tips.

English Spark is introducing an opportunity for you to find students who want to learn online.  Look for that coming soon.
