This is a lesson plan that goes over the basics of adverbs.  It is meant as an overview of adverbs and doesn't focus on one particular kind.  Students will learn about manner, comment, and frequency adverbs.  There is a dialog and a worksheet for students to work with as well.

This lesson includes a description of the 3 different kinds of adverbs: comment, manner, and frequency.  There is a brief grammar explaination that the teacher can hand to the students to take home to study or the teacher can use it lecture from for guided discovery of the grammar.  After an introduction to the grammar, there are some exercises for students to familarize themselves with the grammar.  This includes a sorting exercise and a writing exercise where students write sentences and then go on to write a story to share with the class.  There is also an extensive dialog that can be used in class to give students exposure to an example of adverbs in a natural setting.
