This ESL lesson plan focuses on the United Nations. Students read a short article that describes the origins, location and structure of the United Nations. The next section asks students to click on a link to listen to a short audio portion. Students preview questions and listen to the audio again before attempting to answer the questions. Students check their accuracy against a partner's responses and are encouraged to use a dictionary for new words. A printable worksheet is included.
